![]() Natalie has always enjoyed all types of fitness from being a student of dance and Martial Arts to now instructing fitness classes for our community.Īlmost 10 years ago, a friend introduced her to Zumba and, as they say, the rest is history! In 2014, while teaching Zumba at New Mexico Dance Theater, Ballet faculty approached Natalie about teaching early childhood classes. She first studied ballet under Susan Sell of Creative Movement and then continued her study of ballet through Santa Fe Dance Foundation, Santa Fe Community College and Moving People. Starting at an early age, she studied classical ballet, jazz, tap, modern and other styles of dance including the rhythms of African Drums and Afro-Beats. Natalie Smith fell in love with dance the moment she took her first class when she was 3 years old. She has been teaching at DALA since 2019, where she loves blending her passions for teaching and arts administration as well as making fun dance memories with the DALA Family! ![]() Karina is most proud of the Special Education Super Advocate Award she received from the Hastings School District (MN) for her work creating a program for dancers with special needs. She holds training certificates from SafeSport, Darkness2Light, NDI-New Mexico, NDEO (in progress), and Yoga Alliance (in progress). Since 2012, Karina has been teaching students ages 2-adult in styles including Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, and Conditioning. Karina has performed with Stephan Koplowitz, Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater, and Concerto Dance by Jolene Konkel among others. Olaf College, where she received a 4 year Dance Scholarship, a minor in Arts Administration, and the honor of Distinction in Dance. She pursued a degree in modern dance at St. ![]() Karina Wilder is a dance artist born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. ![]()
